Support Group Meetings

We provide a safe and welcoming space for individuals living with lupus to come together, share experiences, and find support from others who truly understand their journey. Our support group meets once a quarter, either virtually or in person. Please contact us if you are interested in joining.

Community Outreach & Educational Programs

Through our outreach efforts, we strive to raise awareness about lupus and educate both patients, their support system, and medical professionals. Visit our Resources page for more information on lupus, its management, resources available for individuals affected by lupus.

We organize educational programs, workshops, and events to empower individuals with knowledge about the disease and its management. Visit our Events Calendar for upcoming events.

Access to Medical Care & Clinical Research

We understand the importance of accessible healthcare for lupus patients. We have built a network of compassionate medical professionals who have agreed to provide medical care at discounted fees to our members who are uninsured or have limited medical coverage.

We also can connect interested parties to locally-run clinical research studies aiming to help advance lupus research.

Referral Listing of Professional Services

We go beyond medical care and offer a comprehensive referral listing of professional services. These include:

  • Legal advice and counseling
  • Transportation assistance
  • Alternative treatments

Latasha Ellis Book Scholarship

This scholarship was created in 2019 and was named after our good friend, Latasha Ellis, to keep her memory alive after she lost her battle to this horrific disease.  At the end of each school year, a $250 book scholarship is awarded to at least 1 High School Senior at the “Walking the World Purple” Lupus Walk in honor of Latasha Ellis. The recipient of the scholarship is chosen by the Executive Director and is dependent on if that student has any affiliation with or is related to a Lupus Warrior. Recipients must be present at the walk to receive the scholarship.

At Colors of Lupus Nevada, we understand the unique challenges faced by those living with lupus. We offer a range of essential services to address their needs.
